Berliner, a native of San Francisco, is a theatrical designer who designed the scenery and costumes for Doris Baizley’s production of A Christmas Carol, originally produced at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles and directed by John Dennis. Baizley’s “Carol” was performed annually from 1977 to 1981.
Charles Berliner has designed scenery and costumes for plays, musicals, films, and TV. He is one of the few theatrical designers to receive a design artist fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts.
